Robert Dobson, the brewmaster for Old Well Brewery, is originally from Mount Pleasant.
Robert grew up in Mount pleasant and wants to create beer that brings people together. His brew style includes influences from his travels to San Francisco, London, Spain, Asheville, and more.
Rob explains that his path is different from most people who start breweries:
“My wife and I always liked Miller Lite on the beach and then we started getting more adventurous into porters and stouts. My palette started to change and expand and around that time I had the opportunity to start Old Well Brewery as a part time thing. It has grown into something really special.
Without the people in the beer community who showed me the ropes I wouldn't have been able to learn on the fly like I have.”
